Charlie is the Chief Credit Officer of Hercules Capital. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s credit team, underwriting standards, and portfolio management practices across the firm’s loan and investment portfolio.

Charlie joined Hercules in 2017 to lead the East Coast Credit Team and was promoted to sole lead for Hercules Credit in 2021 before being appointed Chief Credit Officer in February 2022. Prior to Hercules, Charlie spent 16 years at GE Capital, where he served as an underwriter and portfolio manager supporting private equity and strategic-led buyouts, recapitalizations, acquisitions, and refinancings. He concluded his tenure at GE Capital as part of the leadership team of Global Credit Risk Review.

Charlie received a B.A. in Economics and Asian Studies from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
