Zach Norris is a Managing Director working out of the Denver office, with oversight over loan underwriting and portfolio management at Hercules.

Zach joined Hercules from Silicon Valley Bank, where he most recently served as a Senior Credit Officer in the Corporate Banking and Restructuring Group. In that role he was a principal loan approver and risk authority for the bank’s technology and life sciences corporate banking division, overseeing credit quality and risk governance across a portfolio of publicly traded and pre-IPO companies. He held sole credit approval authority within delegated limits and helped shape portfolio construction across sectors, stages, and sponsor relationships.

Prior to that, Zach was a Managing Director in SVB’s Advisory Services and Restructuring Group, leading the team responsible for some of the bank’s largest and most complex distressed credits. He began his career at SVB in asset-based lending, managing a portfolio of credit facilities for technology and life sciences borrowers.

Zach is a CFA charterholder and serves on the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of Colorado. He received a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder.
