Seth is the Chief Financial Officer for Hercules Capital. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy, planning, and reporting, as well as capital management and operational finance functions.

Seth joined Hercules in 2019 and has more than 35 years of international business management and strategic planning experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as CFO of Swiss Re’s Commercial Insurance business, where he led a global finance team focused on business development, M&A, financial planning and reporting, and capital management.

Seth held several senior roles at Swiss Re, including Group Tax Director and Finance Division Operating Officer, before being appointed CFO in 2011. Prior to Swiss Re, he held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Jackson National Life Insurance Company, KPMG Peat Marwick, and Burke & Stegman CPAs.

Seth Meyer graduated with a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University where he also completed an M.B.A.
