Michael McMahon is a Director in Hercules Capital’s Healthcare and Life Sciences group and is based in Boston. He is focused on deal origination, loan structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management with a broad range of private and public healthcare companies including innovative healthcare services, biotechnology, medical device, and other healthcare companies at all stages of development.

Prior to joining Hercules in 2023, Michael spent 18 years in a variety of roles at Silicon Valley Bank with a focus on senior secured and mezzanine debt solutions. Over his career he led the structuring and underwriting of a variety of debt products across technology and healthcare: asset based and recurring revenue-based revolvers, venture debt term loans, mezzanine term loans, cash flow supported revolvers and term loans, and convertible debt.

Michael graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2003.
