Liam Pisano joined Hercules Technology Growth Capital in 2010. Pisano focuses on investments in later stage venture and lower middle market opportunities in the technology, education and health care sectors. Prior to joining Hercules, Pisano was a co-founder of Academic Earth; a Yale University funded start-up focused on providing lead generation services to the education community. Pisano worked at Patriot Capital from 2007 to 2009, where he focused on senior and mezzanine loans to companies in the business services and health care industries. Pisano began his career in 2000 with Spectrum Equity Investors, where he performed due diligence on private equity investments in the technology, communications and media sectors. Pisano received his B.A in Political Science from Williams College, and his M.B.A from the Yale School of Management. He is a 10-year member of the Big Brothers Association of Massachusetts and co-founder of the William Gaines Foundation, a non-profit organization serving underprivileged, overachieving inner city high school students.
