Our Mission.  Our goal at Hercules is simple but vital.  We partner with entrepreneurial companies to help them reach essential milestones.  Our mission is to support the entrepreneurs of today with the capital resources, experience and expertise to guide them toward becoming the corporate leaders of tomorrow.  We share a common goal with our portfolio companies: striving for and achieving continued growth and success throughout their business lifecycles.

Our Company.  Hercules’ unique advantage is our partners, who collectively offer more than 188 years of experience in venture capital, specialized technology and life science lending, acquisition finance and leveraged leasing.  The experience of our professionals—averaging 15 years each—enables us to help entrepreneurs realize value through follow-on financings, public stock offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

Our Financing Solutions.  We work as a strategic partner with our portfolio companies to satisfy their growth capital needs in a less dilutive and constrictive way than traditional equity-based or bank financing options.  Hercules provides alternative and complementary sources of growth capital (all of which are detailed on this site) as the needs of our portfolio companies evolve and change.
